Returns & Refunds Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase from PJ Martial Arts Supplies. This policy explains returns for UK consumer orders and does not limit your statutory rights.

Changing your mind or choosing the wrong size

You can cancel your online order without giving a reason. Tell us within 14 days after the day you receive your goods. If goods from one order arrive separately, this period runs from the day after you receive the last item. You must then send the goods back within 14 days after telling us you wish to cancel.

Customers are responsible for paying their own return postage for change-of-mind returns, including returns for a different size or colour. These return postage costs are not refunded.

How to arrange a return

Email admin@pjmartialartssupplies.co.uk with your name, order number and the items you want to return. You can also request a return through your customer account where this option is available. You do not need an account to cancel or return an order.

We will provide return instructions and may issue a return reference to help identify your parcel. A reference or our approval is not a condition of exercising your statutory cancellation rights. You can use the optional cancellation form below or any clear statement that you wish to cancel.

Include your order number in the parcel and pack the items securely. We recommend a tracked service and keeping proof of postage.

Condition of returned goods

You may inspect goods and try clothing on as you would in a shop. Please keep items clean, retain labels and return original packaging where possible. Opening ordinary packaging does not automatically prevent a return.

Please do not train in, wash, alter or use goods beyond what is necessary to check their nature, characteristics and fit. Where handling beyond this reduces their value, we may make a lawful deduction reflecting that reduction. We will explain any deduction. We do not charge a cancellation or restocking fee.

Exceptions to change-of-mind returns

Goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, such as items embroidered with your name. Simply ordering a standard size or colour does not make a product personalised.
Goods supplied with a health or hygiene seal that are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once that seal has been broken after delivery. This may apply to mouth guards or intimate protective equipment where those conditions are met. There is no blanket exclusion for all protective equipment or clothing.

These exceptions do not remove your rights if goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described. Sale items have the same statutory rights as full-price items.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

Please contact us as soon as you discover a problem, giving your order number and a description. Photographs can help us assess the issue, but are not a condition of your statutory rights.

For goods that are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, you normally have a short-term right to reject them for a refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, repair or replacement may be available, with further refund rights where the law provides. Your rights are not restricted to the change-of-mind return period.

We cover reasonable return costs for faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods where you are entitled to a remedy. Contact us so we can arrange an appropriate return method or collection.

Six-month warranty

We continue to offer a six-month warranty on our products. If an item develops a fault during this period, contact us to request a replacement. If a replacement is not possible or fails, any applicable refund rights remain available. This warranty is additional to your statutory rights; those rights may continue after six months, and you do not have to accept a replacement where the law entitles you to a refund.

Refunds

For a valid change-of-mind cancellation, we refund the price paid for the returned goods, subject to any lawful deduction for diminished value. If you cancel the entire order, we also refund the standard outbound delivery charge. If you selected a more expensive delivery service, we only refund the equivalent standard delivery charge. Returning part of an order does not normally entitle you to a refund of the original delivery charge.

Cancellation refunds are made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the goods back or you provide evidence that you sent them back, whichever happens first. We may withhold the refund until one of those events occurs.

Where you exercise a statutory right to reject faulty goods, we refund without undue delay and within 14 days after agreeing that you are entitled to a refund. Refunds use your original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, and we do not charge a refund fee. Your payment provider may take additional time to show the refund in your account.

Exchanges

To change a size or colour, return the original item under this policy and place a new order for the item you need. Customers pay return postage for these change-of-mind returns, and the usual delivery charges apply to the new order.

Returns outside this policy

If a return is outside this policy and you have no statutory right to a remedy, we will explain why and contact you to arrange its return. Any reasonable redelivery charge will be explained before you agree. We do not automatically dispose of returned goods after 14 days.
